Earth City Building

Frontenac Bank was founded in 1999 by a trio of life-long friends and St. Louis corporate leaders to serve businesses and residents in our local communities. When John W. Hammond, Richard L. Hughes, and John C. Hannegan incorporated the bank, they could not have imagined the lasting impact they would have within our community.

Our first branch was opened in Earth City, Missouri on January 29, 1999. We currently operate four branches (Earth City, Frontenac, Kirkwood, St. Charles), and an operations center.

The founding leader's vision was to create a bank that delivers relevant and timely financial solutions by clearly understanding the goals and needs of businesses and residents in their communities.

To implement their vision, three key strategies were created:

  • Employ knowledgeable individuals who not only understand , but value the real core of banking, the needs and dreams of clients.
  • Maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace through offering advanced products and services.
  • Allow flexibility in decision making, while controlling growth. This helps shorten the approval process for loans, and ensures clients are well cared for by our experienced staff.

Central to our vision and strategy is the founding principle of community banks:

Maintain a local, independent bank structure

Each of our conveniently located branches are full service and staffed with dedicated professionals who provide an array of products and services that best fit the needs of the clients we serve. We provide financial solutions for small to midsize businesses, professionals and consumers, including retail and commercial banking, cash management, mortgage banking and insurance services.

Today, we are entrusted with nearly $300 million in assets - which we loan back into our communities for their greatest impact. We hope to have the opportunity to assist with your financial needs.
